Values and Ethos
Southern Cross Preschool has a nurturing ethos where children are supported to become more independent and feel confident to participate in activities with their peers.
We aim to teach children communication skills, so they understand the social skills they need for their future. We help them learn to take turns, share and to be kind and respectful so they can form good friendships. This includes learning good manners, showing those around us that we respect them and are considerate to their feelings.
We make the environment fun and exciting where children can express their creativity, be active, and challenge their thinking. We want to empower children, to understand personal growth so they can be proud of who they are, what they have achieved and to be eager to learn more. We make provision for any child who may require extra support to reach their full potential.
We go out of our way to welcome all families and help children to grow up with positive attitudes towards all communities. We are proud to be here for both the child and their family, offering advice, support, and a friendly face when they need someone to listen. We will help them get the advice or support they need for the wellbeing of their family.
